![]() ![]() Please note, that we want to go ahead with Media Composer and not any other software(premier pro, etc). Please, refer the following image for the Mediainfo specs As per knowledge, a 5.1 file should have 6 channels and 1 audio stream. We then checked the file using Mediainfo and found that it had 6 audio streams and not audio channels. ![]() We even set the Sequence Mix Format to 5.1 in the audio mixer. Having selected the settings as a AMA export-5.1-MXF format. When we try to export a 5.1 MXF Video track (not a split mono but a 5.1 audio track created by avid and also imported a 5.1 audio track)it plays as a MONO in a 5.1 setup. We tried experimenting MC to get a 5.1 surround output, but we couldn’t get the exported file to playback in 5.1 surround, rather it played through all channels as Mono. Now we are trying to re-encode our video into the aforementioned format in Avid Media Composer. Our music video was made in a stereo mix in Sony Vegas Movie Studio. Tracks 1 – 6 PCM Audio (5.1 Surround Mix), Tracks 7 & 8 Full Mix MONO The tech specs requested were:įile format: XDCAM HD 422, 50 Mbps with MXF wrapper (OP1a)ġ6:9 PAL with 6 tracks of Un-mixed PCM 24 bit 48 kHz audio. Since, we dont have a mac system, we are going ahead with mxf format. The tech specs provided to us was for either pro ress format or mxf. Hello CC, I have a music video which one of the television channels has selected to broadcast. ![]()
